Insurance for your boat
Whether your love of the water centers around sailing, fishing, cruising, drifting or the sheer serenity of a
private cove, theres no other policy that protects you quite the way
Harleysvilles Shipmate® policy doesboth in and out of the water.
Shipmates features include one of the broadest ranges of property and liability
coverages available in a single policy.
Afloat Your boatincluding your fixtures, furnishings, motors and all
equipment vital to its operationis insured against almost any peril of the lakes,
rivers, seas and bays that could possibly come your way. Wind, fire, lightning, collision
with other boats and underwater objects, theft, vandalism, explosion, sinking and
capsizing are just a few of the types of loss that are coveredup to the limit you
select. And, Shipmate has no coastal restrictions!
During transport your Shipmate protection goes with you, transferring your
collision coverage form the waterways to the highways. Ditto for your boat carrier or
trailer.
In dry storageduring the off-season or anytime, your boat carries the same
quality protection, plus coverage for freezing and ice damage (provided you winterize
your boat).

If a claim or lawsuit should ever surface, Shipmate stands ready to cover your legal
liability for: |

passengers (or yours), and most anyone else sharing the waters with you. |

are operating your boatas long as they have your permission.
